Mobtown is the baby of mobile industry veterans. Like smuggling letters to an imprisoned lover, for years we tried to connect with users through WAP, SMS and J2ME. The promise of mobile was so huge, yet countless days and nights of toil never seemed to finish the job. The problem was that hardware guys dominated the whole ecosystem.
Today, FINALLY, the software guys are revolting under the leadership of Google and Apple. In our view this prison break signals the point of inflection for the industry. NOW real application experiences can emerge. Now developers can rally real audiences around those experiences.
Mobtown's objective is to nurture this new movement with analytics and other key services.
